For as long as you are green, brother, you can grow.

This project was done in pen and ink for my Drawing II class a couple of years ago. Definitely a stand-out art course in my opinion. The professor, Brent Dedas, gave us such challenging, creative, and fulfilling projects. The pieces I made throughout that semester are still some of my favorites. The one pictured above depicts weathered sea ships without any passengers on board. Makes the piece rather haunting and captivating.
This is one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken. Since our senior year of high school, my close friends and I have been interested in concieving our own photoshoots. Now seniors in college, I am so thankful that we are all still close and continuing in this photoshoot tradition. The picture posted above is from our most recent endeavor, which took place in the house I grew up in. This house has been haunted from time to time, and my family and I have had to have our house “cleaned of spirits” twice! The door-mirror on the left often opened by itself in the past!
I only recently discovered the music of José González this past November. It was Thanksgiving Break, a really special and inspiring time for me. Dinner with family, late nights with friends, and even later nights sitting quietly and buzzed on my father’s lap top with a drink at hand. I love these times at night when everyone else is fast asleep upstairs while I am chilling out to very natural and subtle music. It feels great, and José González’s tunes made the end of this year even better.
